Jr Mountain Bike Camp with Corvallis Parks & Rec
Students ride trails every day, learning to navigate trees, rocks, roots, and hills. Bike maintenance and proper gear are covered. Basic bike skills required. Students should have proper gear including helmet and well-maintained bike with 1.7 inch width tires and at least 12 speed gears. Women's MTB Clinic with Corvallis Parks & Rec
A two-day mountain bike clinic for women in group setting. It’s all about providing mountain bike skills instruction through language, demonstration and practice. Skills are named, given a function and demonstrated. Students get lots of opportunities to develop the skills through practice, drills and games - and ultimately by riding trail features that require these skills. Students are asked to push themselves within a risk-managed environment. Opportunities exist for encouragement and assessment.
